The brief
Angstrom came to Filmit.xyz needing a real campaign: three separate commercials, each with its own premise, cast, and world. The traditional math says that is three shoot days, three crew calls, and a budget well into the multiple hundreds of thousands.
We delivered all three at cinema grade for under $100K, in a single production day. The three finished spots are hosted below. Watch them first; the rest of this page explains how they got made.
Where the job was actually won
Multi-spot single-day shoots do not succeed on set. They succeed weeks earlier, in pre-production, and that discipline is the case study.
As executive producer I ran the prep like a logistics operation. The three scripts were developed together so their production needs overlapped on purpose: shared lighting philosophies, a location whose rooms could be dressed as three different worlds, and casting blocks scheduled so no actor waited on a scene they were not in. The shot list was sequenced to the minute around company moves, with every department head walking the space in advance and knowing exactly which setup came next and why.
Budget engineering was the other half. Sub-$100K for three spots means every dollar visible on screen: cinema camera and grip packages working all day instead of sitting idle between projects, one art department dressing three sets in waves, and a single post pipeline carrying three edits through color, sound, and finishing as one batch.
The day
Call time to wrap: one 14-hour day, a 40-person crew, three complete company setups. While one premise shot, the art department redressed the next world and the following cast rehearsed. No waiting, no wasted resets, no overtime spiral. The schedule held because it was engineered to hold.
That is the producing skill this page exists to demonstrate: the creative ambition of three distinct comedic premises, delivered through operations tight enough to make the budget look impossible.
Why this matters beyond commercials
This is the same discipline I bring to marketing operations everywhere else on this site: the belief that constraints are a design input. A three-person brand can post daily. A solo founder can ship a data platform. And a sub-$100K budget can produce a three-spot campaign, if the system around it is built with intent.
Results
- Three cinema-grade commercials delivered from one shoot day
- Total production budget under $100K, roughly a third of traditional cost
- 40-person crew orchestrated through three full setups without overtime
- A matched campaign in market: one brand voice, three premises
The journey
The ask
A campaign, not a spot
Angstrom needed a full campaign: three distinct commercials with different sets, casts, and comedic premises. The catch was the budget, which would traditionally cover one spot at this production standard.
Pre-production
Engineering the day
The entire job was won in prep: three scripts built around shared lighting setups, a location that could host three worlds, casting locked early, and a shot list scheduled to the minute.
The shoot
40 crew, 14 hours, 3 worlds
One production day. A 40-person crew moved through three full company setups, cinema cameras and grip packages redressing between premises while the next scene rehearsed.
Post
Three cuts, one campaign
Edit, color, sound, and finishing delivered as a matched set: three spots that feel like one brand voice with three punchlines.
